Meet CID: Mackenzie Stange

Our clients almost always cite our staff as one of the reasons they love working with CID. And, our staff almost always cites our staff as one of the reasons they love working at CID. So, with that in mind, let’s get to know the people of CID!

Mackenzie. Mack. Mack Attack. Mack & Cheese. Mack-inac Island. Mack-ro Economics. Mack-adamia Nut. Fleetwood Mack. Friday Night SMACKdown. Mack the Knife. Count Mackula.

We could go on, but the point is that our Account Executive + Project Manager, Mackenzie Stange (rhymes with “sang”), contains multitudes and is extremely generous in letting the rest of us give her goofy nicknames reflecting that. She’s also inquisitive, organized, calm, and a repeat champ in CID’s food-based contests back when that was still a thing — basically all you could ask for in an Account Exec + Project Manager & colleague. Find out what makes Mack tick:

My guilty pleasure is...

Chocolate chip cookies

I'm most comfortable in...

A food coma

In non-pandemic times, I never leave home without...

Mascara on

The last book(s) I read was...

I Really Needed This Today: Words to Live By by Hoda Kotb

When I was little I wanted to be...

Designer or editor for a popular magazine.

The last show I binged was...

The Queen's Gambit (twice!)

I spend my social media time on...

Instagram mostly, then a little time on Snapchat, and very little on Facebook

Is a hot dog a sandwich?

I’m proud that I always…

Floss (but also find the silver lining in things)

My favorite thing about working at CID is...

The amazing and talented people

One piece of advice to someone starting in my field is...

Put yourself in someone else's shoes. If you're presenting a problem, see if you can anticipate the questions that may be asked and offer as many answers, solutions, and options as possible. Don't be afraid to recommend a path forward.

You might not always be able to predict what people will ask, and that's ok, but trying to think ahead will help get to a solution sooner.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us, Mack!
